How does a chewy, chocolatey, fudgy cookie with melty M&M’s candies encrusted within sound to you? It sounded pretty flipping amazing to me, so I whipped up these fast and easy Chocolate M&M’s cake mix cookies. Have one!
I have to tell you, I’m a fan of cake mix treats. In fact, one of the most popular recipes (for good reason) on this site are my cake mix cookie bars. Be sure to check those out, too.
These Chocolate M&M’s cake mix cookies follow a really basic cake mix cookies recipe that can be modified in many ways to suit your taste. I used a fudge cake mix and added some Hershey’s syrup to the recipe.
Ever had the brownie mixes that include the Hershey’s syrup? I think the addition made these Chocolate M&M’s cake mix cookies a little chewier, which I love.
These cookies have a pretty obvious chocolate flavor. I don’t always go for chocolate when it comes to cookies, but, every once in a while a chocolate explosion is just what the doctor ordered.
Well, actually, I doubt that any doctor would order chocolate cookies… but, they’re good. Really good! Everything in moderation.
My dad is the true chocolate fan in my home, so the true test of the Chocolate M&M’s cake mix cookies came when he took a bite.
Muffled through chocolate crumbles, he said, “These are good!”
With the holidays coming up, you could of course make these Chocolate M&M’s cake mix cookies festive by using Reece’s Pieces for Halloween, or red and green M&M’s for Christmas.
I just really love baking with M&M’s because they make everything so much prettier.
If you’ve never made cake mix cookies, you’ll love the ease with which you can mix-up some delicious cookies. It’s just such a simple way to put a sweet treat on the table.
I love having the option, and always keep a cake mix or two around for those times we’re craving cookies.
