The Country Crock® Make It Yours Cookie Recipe encourages creativity with your kids in the kitchen. You can truly #MakeItYours by starting with this fantastic base recipe and adding your favorite mix-ins. We decided to go with milk chocolate chips and peanut butter chips!
The folks at Country Crock® know that time spent in the kitchen is more than just about making cookies, it’s about the time we get as a family and the values we can share—such as imagination, creativity, togetherness. That’s so true in my family because both of my kids love helping me cook and bake. In fact, my daughter wants to be a chef when she grows up. She also wants to be a doctor, an artist, and Captain America, but a chef is first on the list!
In a world of television and iPads, the time that I can spend with my kids doing something hands-on like making a batch of delicious cookies is so precious to me.

When we made our batch of cookies, I wasn’t sure which mix-ins to use. My son is a huge fan of peanut butter and my little girl loves chocolate. We decided to compromise by adding one cup of peanut butter chips and one cup of milk chocolate chips to our batter.
The cookies turned out so wonderful. This is a really great cookie mix that produces a soft and chewy cookie. Now that I know how great the recipe is, I’m already dreaming up some new mix-in combinations to try.
My daughter wants to use white chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles to make unicorn cookies, and my son wants to try adding two cups of candy-coated chocolates.
I would like to simply bake the cookies without any mix-ins and perhaps add frosting and sprinkles to the top!
How will you #MakeItYours?
