Loving Gro-ables

This post brought to you by Gro-ables. All opinions are 100% mine.

For a long time, gardening was an abstract thought for me. I live in the country, so I have grown up around gardens, but no one ever really taught me the tricks of the trade. I can't just blame my parents, because I simply didn't ever express any interest in our family garden when I was a child.

I lament this, but what I realized recently is that it's not too late for me to learn more about gardening. In fact, a new and clever product from Miracle-Gro called Gro-ables has really made things fun!

Scott's Gro-ables

You see, Gro-ables are neat and tidy little biodegradable seed pods. You simply place the pod into your soil, level with the top of the soil, water them and bing, bang, boom—you're growing. No, really, it's that simple!

I was amazed to see how quickly my Gro-ables began to sprout, and there is really nothing as gratifying as seeing something that was only a seed days ago begin it's transformation into food. I also took the opportunity to share the experience with my children, who were equally impressed with the beautiful little sprouts that we're raising.

I have big plans for our harvest this summer! We're growing several herbs, along with tomatoes and sweet peppers. I'm already researching recipes for salsa! If you have a great salsa recipe, be sure to leave it in the comments below.

The most important thing I want to convey about Gro-ables is their ease of use. You just peel off the cover, press into the soil, then follow proper care procedures which really couldn't be any easier. A little water and a little sunshine and you're in business. There is really no excuse not to try this!
