You’ve probably seen the numbers on the front of your favorite food packages recently, but, did you now that this labeling system is called Facts Up Front, and that it’s a tool to allow consumers to make informed food choices and build healthy diets?

What I love about Facts Up Front, is that it helps me see the important information from the Nutrition Facts Panel right on the front of the package, so I don’t have to struggle to discern the key nutritional elements.

You can check out FactsUpFront.org to learn more about the label, how to read it, and you can also get tips for eating healthier and incorporating healthy foods into your diet and the diets of your family members.

Not only am I looking for the best foods when I grocery shop with my family, I’m also training my kids to recognize the foods that make up a healthy diet.

In fact, I’m teaching my children to read the nutrition labels on the foods we buy, and I’m starting with the Facts Up Front label because it’s easy enough for a child to understand!

My family and I are embarking on a healthy new lifestyle this summer, and Facts Up Front is helping me quickly see which foods will be best to help build healthy meals.

FactsUpFront.org is a great resource you can use to understand how to read product labels, use a nutrition calculator, and find great recipes and tips!  Answer the question below for a chance to win $1,000!  Sweepstakes Rules.
