Meet Huawei

When it comes to cell phones, you’re probably accustomed to hearing the same brands over and over. If you’ve ever wondered if there is something else out there, the answer is yes. It’s Huawei!

I was recently given the opportunity to give Huawei’s Ascend Mate 2 a try. Huawei’s Ascend Mate 2 smartphone boasts the largest screen of any smart phone—a beautiful 6.1″ HD screen—and they also claim the longest battery life of any other smartphone on the market at 2.5 days (60 hours) on a single charge.

In addition to that, this phone offers 4G LTE and a 13MP camera. If you know me, I’m pretty picky about cell phone cameras, so I was excited to give this phone a whirl. Oh, and here’s something really cool that will probably attract a lot of consumers—when you buy the the Ascend Mate 2, you choose the cellular network. That means no contracts or hassle.

The first thing I notice about the Ascend Mat 2 is the size. It’s really nice and large, perfect for playing games, looking at multimedia or even surfing the web. The screen is nice and clear and bright, lovely really.

I was also eager to test out the batter life and I have agree that the phone seems to stay charged for a really long time. I didn’t count the hours, but it’s out-performing my current smartphone.

Overall, I think that the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is an impressive little (well, big) smartphone, and definitely right up there with the competitors.
