Small Changes Make the Difference

Every year I make goals to be more active, and every year I feel like I fall a bit short. I used to beat myself up about this, but I now realize that as long as I’m still motivated to try and making even small changes, I’m doing better than I could be.

This year, Viactiv’s #BeActiv initiative is sparking me to do more. For Viactiv, #BeActiv means getting involved, getting moving and getting healthier, including making sure you’re getting the recommended amount of daily calcium for bone health based on your age.

I was shocked to learn that 70% of adult women are calcium deficient; that number jumps to around 85% for teen girls!. While calcium from food sources is important, Viactiv comes in delicious tasting soft chews (in milk chocolate, caramel and sugar-free milk chocolate varieties – it’s the #1 doctor-recommended calcium supplement chew), as well as new gummies (tropical fruit) to make it easy and appealing to make sure you (and your daughter, sister, mother) are getting enough daily calcium.

My life is chaotic, and while I wish I could rely completely on my diet to get the calcium I need, I know that having easy and yummy Viactiv products on hand is a good thing. I’m pretty particular about flavor and I really love Viactiv. The milk chocolate chews are my go-to morning supplement and I’m also really loving the tropical fruit gummies.

Viactiv Gummies also do not contain gluten or dairy, and they’re made for any age, so they’re great as a calcium supplement for teen girls.

For me, the #BeActiv challenge is all about small changes that can add up. I’m planning to walk more and that includes using my treadmill, scheduling time to walk outdoors but also choosing to take the steps over the elevator every time I get the chance!

Viactiv is a big part of my healthy lifestyle, too, and it’s available at stores nationwide, including Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, CVS, Target and Walgreens (Viactiv Gummies are available at Walgreens.)

You can get involved too and you may even win when you enter the #BeActiv sweepstakes!
